Child Development Associate® (CDA) Credential

Our CDA Prep Program prepares students for the nationally recognized Child Development Associate® (CDA) Credential—the most widely accepted certification in early childhood education. Whether you’re new to the field or looking to advance, this program helps you build essential skills, boost your confidence, and meet job qualifications.

Associate’s Degree

Students may earn credit for their CDA Credential toward an Associate’s in Early Childhood Education (ECE) at many community colleges in Missouri. Contact your local community college for more details. If transferring from a community college, you can apply your ECE coursework toward the Early Childhood Education in a Mobile Society degree program here at Mizzou.

Bachelor's Degree

Our online Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education in a Mobile Society prepares students to work with diverse children, families, and communities. Students will learn to understand children’s developmental needs, promote positive growth through assessments, and create supportive, intellectually stimulating learning environments.

Specialize with our certificates.

Early Child Care Leadership Certificates

Specialize with our Early Child Care Undergraduate Certificates provide the skills to develop and manage early childhood programs. Earn one or both 12-credit-hour certificates—Business of Child Care and Child Care Director—and gain expertise to create effective child care solutions. These credits may be applied to the ECEMS Bachelor’s degree or taken as standalone certificates. Check with your academic advisor for more details.
